2007 Summer Board of Governors Meeting

Distinguished Service Award
At ISTAS 2007 Joe Herkert received the first SSIT Distinguished Service Award. The award was established in 2006, SSIT’s 25th anniversary year, and recognizes distinguished service to the Society over the years. Prof. Herkert has served SSIT in numerous roles, most recently as editor of Technology and Society magazine. The 2008 International Symposium on Technology and Society will be held at the National Research Council Institute for Information Technology in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada on June 26-28, 2008.
